The Journey of an Artist

        I began my journey as a jewelry designer eight years ago. I had a love for essential oils and the benefits from using them in everyday life. As a former schoolteacher of students with special needs Autism. I found that diffusing oils in my classroom helped my students focus and relax. However, the diffusers were not mobile, and I needed a way to be able to have the oils with me wherever I was in case they were needed. I researched and found that lava stone will diffuse oils, even some oils for days. I had already been making memory jewelry and I used that knowledge to craft my first diffuser bracelet. I made them for my paraprofessionals and myself. When people in the building saw them, they wanted one. And before I knew it, the brand of Lava Life Essentials was born. Each bracelet is handcrafted with semi-precious gemstones to accompany the lava stones to raise the vibration and quality of the bracelet.

I take pride and care in each design, keeping in mind the intention and purpose of the bracelet. As a teacher, I still use essential oils and bracelets in my classroom. It is both joyful and humbling that so many people choose to wear and enjoy the bracelets I design and make.
